Benazir Taleemi Wazaif

Karachi, Pakistan (July 2024): Good news for deserving families! The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) is inviting applications for its important Benazir Taleemi Wazaif program. This program gives regular cash help to poor families to keep their children, especially girls, in school. Here’s how to see if you qualify and how to apply:

Who Can Apply?

Your family likely qualifies if you already get money from the main Benazir Kafaalat program AND:

  1. Children in School: You have children between 5 and 22 years old.
  2. School Enrollment: Those children are properly enrolled in a government school or a recognized private school.
  3. Attendance: Children must regularly attend school (usually checked).
  4. Poverty Status: Your family must be registered with BISP and have a low poverty score (PMT score).

How to Register (It’s Simple!):

If you are already a Benazir Kafaalat beneficiary and your child is studying:

  1. Visit Your Child’s School: Go to the school where your child is enrolled.
  2. Talk to the Teacher/Headmaster: Tell them you want to register your child for the Benazir Taleemi Wazaif.
  3. Provide Child’s Information: The school will help you register your child’s details (like B-Form number) into the BISP system.
  4. Visit BISP Office (If Needed): Sometimes, you might also need to visit your nearest BISP Tehsil Office with your original CNIC, your child’s B-Form, and a school admission slip. The staff will guide you.
  5. Biometric Verification: You (the parent/guardian) will need to do a biometric verification (fingerprint scan) at the BISP office to complete the registration.

Important Points:

  • Registration for eligible children already in school is FREE.
  • DO NOT pay money to anyone claiming to register you.
  • Keep your child attending school regularly to keep getting the stipend.
